This is exactly what I was going to say. Good writing comes from passion, from really expressing something that you want to share with others. We can't do that when we're tapped out somehow. The structure has to fit the function, otherwise you've simply become a slave to the structure rather than it actually supporting you. That's why these one-size-fits-all platitudes are so useless. Write every day as a practice exercise if that serves you, but maybe this month, taking a long nap every day is what serves you better. In that case, do that.

You're writing is great because it's authentic and filled with passion for life and whatever you are writing about. That's the secret sauce right there, if you ask me.
