This is not a criticism of those who have had thoughts or angst about using a pseudonym, because I’ve heard from several people with the same feelings, but I really never have. I’ve never had a single qualm about it. I chose a professional name (much like many writers and actors do) and as you said, that person is me. It also allows me the freedom to be very real and raw in a way that I wouldn’t be able to if I used the name on my driver’s license. In fact, Elle only wears one mask but name on my driver’s license wears several, in part for privacy, and safety, but also because the life I lead is profoundly disruptive to the status quo and besides potentially being unpleasant or dangerous for me and my family, it is a kindness to those people in my life who would be made very uncomfortable if they knew the truth. Some people know and most don’t. The people in the world who want to know more and have their horizons enriched can find me here on Medium. For me, it’s a win-win!

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
