This must be incredibly distressing! I'm so sorry to hear about it.
I wrote something a while back about how a system that is geared around "perpetrator" and "victim" often gets it wrong - in part due to expectations about who is most likely to fit those terms - and how a more nuanced approach that looks more at the entire dynamic and what is underlying it might often serve everyone better. Of course, people causing harm need to be held responsible, but we don't always immediately know who that is if we simply just jump to conclusions.
