This never ceases to boggle my mind. No man would exhort another guy to go out with someone he isn't attracted to and no man would himself do that unless there was some unusual circumstance like doing a favor for a friend whose cousin is in town or something. And yet, women are shallow and unfair when they don't want to go out with guys that they aren't attracted to - even though women generally ascertain attractiveness based on much more than physical appearance (much more than men do). The men who say this do it without irony - or self-awareness. It's unbelievable!
