This paragraph kind of says it all for me. The grain of truth in his version cannot possibly be any larger than an actual grain of sand, because that narrative is just silly and delusional - and intended to absolve him of any responsibility for his actions.

I hate that this happened to you, and agree that there are often two sides to a story, but your ex's version really is just pathetic.
