There’s a contradiction here. Men encourage their daughters to be strong, assertive, and fearless. According to the Shriver Report, at the same time, they expect their wives to be accommodating, patient, and calm. This was true for my sister.

This part is particularly frustrating. You are never going to raise strong, independent daughters if you aren't modeling that you value that in their mothers.
