This was very well done and I appreciate all the thought you've given to parsing this out in a clear and understandable way. My one caveat is that in the world of monogamy, jealousy isn't always frowned upon. Sometimes it's presented as not only inevitable, but an indication of real love. I've actually read stories here on Medium claiming just that. So, I think that society at large doesn't really have that much have an issue with jealousy, just poly society.
