This was very well done and needed to be said. I'm 57 and have never really felt invisible. Sure, younger men no longer always pay attention to me in the way that they did when I was younger - but sometimes they still do. And besides that, the attention of men is not my measure of where I stand in the world. I'm more confident and authentic that I've ever been at any time in my life, and I think that's where my "visibility" comes from.
