Those are the words of a rape researcher trying to understand what was going on for these guys. Again, you can sit there in your moral outrage, and I totally understand it, because I’ve felt it too — I’m a sexual assault survivor. Or you can support something that is actually going to lead to fewer rapes and more convictions for perpetrators. Being morally indignant feels good, but it’s not helping anyone. Finding out what the social dynamics are and dealing with those at the root allows us to hold more perps accountable.
