To those who might say, "But men want this too," I say, Of course they do, and women should reciprocate, but we also live in a culture where women are posited as objects of desire and rarely allowed to be real, human people in the way that men are. Dawn, you really hit the nail on the head when you said that for a lot of women, complete abandon is a place that they rarely frequent. They often don't know how to really inhabit their own body because of all of the societal messaging around it. Most men have no concept of this. Making it safe for a woman to really be who she is in a world that is constantly telling her how to be thinner, prettier, more accomplished, have fewer wrinkles, and no grey hair, etc. has a lot of potential for deep connection.
