Truly, and it's insane how many men go ape-shit when this is even suggested to them. But, they're (mostly) all trying to fit inside the Man Box and bonding as men often takes place via disprespecting women and girls or indicating sexual or social control over them. This is what's being pointed to when various organizations (as well as me) talk about the way that mainstream traditional masculine norms actual work against equality and safety - not because men are monsters inherently, but because social norms they've been taught demand this sort of problematic dynamic.
