Trump increased the national debt by 36% while simulataneously upping the wealth of American billionaires by 10.6%. There is no policy that he stands for, other than perhaps that and that "other" people don't belong in America. The Republicans didn't even create a platform this time. Why bother? That isn't why people vote for Trump. They turn a blind eye to him stuffing his own pockets and those of his friends, because they are primarily responding to a subconscious resonance with someone who promises to bring back the social hierarchies of the 1950s (which means they don't have to grapple with the ways that hurt people). What else does MAGA stand for?
