Um, men are responsible for 90% of violence - against both men and women. They are responsible for 90% of rapes - against both men and women. The are responsible for 90% of the kind of domestic violence that is about control. 85% of American women will be sexually harassed as children (and that statistic is pretty universal in other Western democracies). Women still have to fight a class ceiling, a motherhood penalty and an authority gap, etc., etc., etc. I could go on for a couple more pages of all the very real, and very pressing reasons why this culture needs to change and how men need to be leading the way toward making that happen because as things stand, men and the way masculinity is currently constructed is the source of nearly all of our problems.

I don't need to know exactly what it's like to be in your shoes to know that I want that shit to stop! Why is that so hard to understand? I don't want to be a man, and neither do most other women. We just want to be safe, treated like we are human beings of equal value and status, and not like we are here on earth to serve and please men. Again, it's not rocket science.

Oh, and FYI, most women menstruate 5-7 days every 28 - not for two weeks at a time.
