Um, yet it is - it's hurting women, but it's also literally killing men. Patriarchy isn't a synonym for men, it's a social system that is male dominated, but it's also type of dominance related hierarchy and social stratification system that impacts literally everyone in our culture in negative ways. Patriarchal norms for boys and men (which have little to do with inherent masculinity) drive suicide, depression, violence, and risky behavior like binge-drinking and driving too fast (and not going to the doctor). We absolutely need to be "smashing the patriarchy" for all our sakes and helping boys and men understand why that benefits them to participate in doing that.
