Unfortunately, I've seen this from a so-called dating coach as well as a guy who wants to be a feminist ally but who just can't seem to completely leave the misogyny behind. It's not just the incels or near incels who are having a hissy fit about this. The mostly subconscious belief that women are supposed to handle men's emotions for them (because they aren't culturally allowed to) runs unfortunately rather deep.
