We haven't shared a common ancestor with lobsters for 700 million years. Lack of serotonin affects lobsters in the exact opposite way that it affects humans. And yet, somehow they are relevant to modern human dominance hierarchies how?
Patriarchy has only existed for about 5 thousand years. It's not a timeless human dynamic that is ancient and inevitable. There are several contemporary cultures that don't adhere to this social system. And yet, Peterson is sure it's just "human nature."
"Enforced monogamy" pre-supposes that anything else would be a few men with harems. In truth, in nearly all consensual non-monogamy, women have as many other partners as men do. Not understanding that is just one of the many, many things that Peterson opines about that he doesn't actually understand or know anything about.
There's 40 years of research (most of it done by men) indicating that "traditional masculinity" is incredibly harmful to men, leading to isolation, depression, substance abuse, and suicidal ideation. Peterson thinks it's the not the problem, it's actually the solution. 🙄
He should stick to talking about the things he's actually trained in and knows something about - not sociology, not ancient anthropology, not Marxism, not biology, not polyamory.
