Well defined gender roles are what are very literally killing millions of men - because human beings are individuals and trying to shoehorn them into artificial constructs is not going to work for a large percentage of men - particularly not when at least some of those gender norms demand that men act in ways that are antithetical to human happiness and sense of connection. This is born out by "feminist" organizations such as Johns Hopkins University.

And although much of this societal messaging is that males are more competent, independent, and worthy of holding power, strict gender norms hurt boys and men as well. The Global Early Adolescent Study, based at Johns Hopkins University, concludes that due to these gender norms, “they engage in and are the victims of physical violence to a much greater extent than girls; they die more frequently from unintentional injuries, are more prone to substance abuse and suicide; and as adults their life expectancy is shorter than that of women. Such differences are socially not biologically determined.”

A study by the Center for Disease Control (another well known feminist org.) found that “20% of gender non-conforming students reported attempting suicide compared to 7% of gender-conforming students. The data is bad for both sexes, but it seems to be worse for males.”

As I've already linked you a story about, patriarchy is a social system that harms literally everyone - even the men who appear to be winning at it. It's not exactly in dispute that men commit over 90% of all violence - against women, but also against other men - because this is a cultural endorsed aspect of masculinity in our society. It's not exactly in dispute that 1 in 4 women and 1 in 26 men have been raped - nearly always by men - not "bad apples" or aliens from another planet but men acting out culturally reinforced norms of masculinity that involve domination, aggression, and control of those who are "weaker."

Acting like I'm making this stuff up for some sort of ideological whim is just fucking delusional. I won't bother to go on or to try to speak to all of your answers because there's no point talking to someone so deeply in their emotional constructs that they can't even begin to interface with the world as it actually is.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
