Well, first of all, you were arguing against me in your first comment, but yes, lots of men seem to be under the impression that violence is an intrinsic and unavoidable part of masculinity (rather than a socialized aspect of dominance hierarchies, which are quite new to human societies). And several of the articles I cited were speaking to that as well.
