Well, I guess if that's the metric than by it he did "win" because I was quite angry to have a story written where he ascribed beliefs to me that I don't hold, and where he otherwise mischaracterized so many things related to work that is important to me. That belief that so many men seem to hold that their uneducated thoughts about something are just as valid as expertise really does rub me the wrong way.
On the upside, it did make more clear to me some of the stories that I need to write in the near future in order to make some of these elements better known and more accessible to the general public. For example, I just published a story on where patriarchy came from - something that a fair number of people might actually be interested to know. Next, I'm working on one about violence in egalitarian societies - because it does sometimes happen, it's just not a core value like it is in dominance hierarchies.
This piece really did make my head hurt at times, but I was pleased with the final result. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
