Well, it's pretty clear from the clueless things these men said that they had zero empathy for women. Why should women have empathy for people like that?

I agree that in an ideal world, we'd all show kindness and empathy for each other and work towards a better tomorrow but in a system of oppression, it's up to the party with the institutional power to lead the way. That's how Truth and Reconciliation efforts take place all around the world. We need to follow that model.
