Well, wanting to be desired certainly doesn't preclude having your own desires as well, but it might be a dynamic that comes primarily out of patriarchal dynamics. The studies done on this have been done in the West.

In addition, female sexuality tends to be more responsive and male sexuality tends to be more spontaneous. Naturally, this doesn't mean women never have spontaneous desire because they certainly do, but I've wondered about that as well, how much of that comes out of patriarchal reinforcement. It would be good to find studies done on non-patriarchal cultures for these topics.

I'm quite comfortable with and in touch with my own desire, but I still find being really strongly desired by a man to be one of the most erotic experiences I have.
