We're not talking here about "every conflict" though - we're talking in this thread about a culture where women are still openly marginalized, objectified, discriminated against, as well as physically and sexually abused and where most men largely turn a blind eye to that, if they aren't actively participating in it. Men who are telling women in the face of that to "be nicer" is problematic and any guy who pretends he doesn't know that stuff is going on is a liar and a coward. He is very demonstrably a large part of the problem.
