We've gotten where we do a pretty scaled down celebration, with some key decorations like a wreath, and tree and some stuff on the mantle, but we no longer send cards, and my husband makes the holiday meal. In between the conspicuous consumption and the keeping up with the Joneses decorating, it was getting to be where it wasn't all that fun. We all still enjoy the season, but in a more sensible and manageable way, and that works great for my entire family.
