What are you functionally or legally prohibited from pursuing as a vocation or avocation because of your gender? And don’t say Hooter’s Girl, because that’s not the same thing as being told you can’t be an astronaut because only men are astronauts, as Hilary Clinton was when she wrote to NASA as a girl.

So, if we need gender roles for the stability of the society, why then don’t we need economic roles as well? It is very disruptive to the upper echelons to ask for greater economic equality — we see that all the time. 😉

The two and two that you are purposefully refusing to put together is that people who have historical power and advantage never want to give that up, whether that is economic power of social power, but that it is always for the good of the larger society if they do. You can’t support a flatter economic system and a stratified social system at the same time. It’s incongruous. But, you are enough emotionally invested in this, that you will likely continue on in cognitive dissonance, so there’s no point in discussing it any further.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
