What are you talking about? That's exactly what I asked. I want an example of men altering gender roles on their own because they wanted to - not because they were forced to. I don't understand why that isn't entirely apparent. Being forced to do something after 100 years of demands and being shamed into finally doing it is hardly a ringing endorsement of men participating in the "notable ebb and flow of gender roles."

This absurd revisionist idea that women didn't actually fight tooth and nail for their rights and that men participated just as much in helping them to attain them because they finally gave in to the concerted advocacy of women - I am just kind of flabbergasted that anyone would put forth that sort of nonsense. SMH. You’re just backpedaling because you were under the erroneous impression that men had joyfully assisted in women getting the vote — rather than the truth — that they fought against it for nearly a century.
