What makes you think I'm a feminist? I'm a social scientist relating to you mainstream and widely accepted social and psychological precepts.

And no, you don't support women's rights unreservedly. You support them having them in a way that doesn't make you uncomfortable - which makes you part of the problem.

You think Black and gay folks don't very often demonize the people who oppress them? You need to spend a little bit more time paying attention to the world. Good lord man, that's the most untrue statement I've come across in a good long while and that's saying something. Aside from that, LGBTQ rights have have stripped in the past 10 years and continue to do so no, they are not continuing to make progress, and neither are Black people for that matter. A bunch of school districts just voted to rename schools after Confederate "heroes" despite it being made quite clear to them around the time of Floyd's murder why that was so hurtful to Black folks. All sorts of other overtly racist practices and beliefs are alive and well in America - even amongst those who don't identify as white supremacists.

And speaking the truth about the way that "traditional" masculine norms harm everybody is not demonizing men just as speaking about the ways that white supremacy is deeply rooted in our culture and institutions is not demonizing white people.

You are not intrinsically your socialization. Masculinity as it's constructed in a particular culture is not remotely the same thing as maleness. Criticizing the way that you've been messaged to be that's harmful to you, women, and everyone else is not criticizing you as a human being or even as a man. You are NOT your socialization - something that is different in other cultures and at different periods in time.

And the fact that you don't understand that is what makes you so overly emotional to the point where you're completely divorced from facts and reality.

I get that there's no point in trying to talk sense to someone this emotional and irrational, so I'll leave you to it. But good lord, dude. Take a pill.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
