What she said was something that just about 100% of people on either side of the political spectrum were already thinking. It had no effect one way or the other because it was patently obvious to all. That's why the jury was not fully sequestered in the first place.
"Judge Cahill said he doesn’t think a full sequester is necessary. He wrote in a November order, 'Media reports during trial are likely to report on the evidence already presented and unlikely to unduly prejudice the jury… so full sequestration is not necessary.'"
This entire thing is a tempest in a teacup whipped up for purely political reasons.
