What you are (perhaps purposefully) failing to understand is that Zora Neale Hurston published much of her work in a publication called The New Negro!!! I really didn’t think I was going to have to spell it out this much for you. They did not publish White authors there either. It was entirely about Black experience just like Zora is. There is no difference! It was also “a segregated platform” as you call it.
Telling other people (particularly women) what they should do with their own personal experiences and how they should interpret them, including what is good for them, is called mansplaining. You may have heard that term before. If Black women want to have their own publication about their own lives and experiences, why do you imagine that you know better than them about whether or not they should do that? It’s condescending! I’ve wasted enough of my time on this…………
