When we visited Amsterdam a few years ago, I was so struck and touched by the plaques in front of homes that were previously owned by Jewish citizens who were sent to the camps, and often didn't come back. I admired that they didn't just note date of death, but called it like it was - the date they were murdered.

I'm deeply worried for this country because there is such a deep vein of white nationalism. I don't know how we are not headed for some sort of civil war - either to overthrow them, or to protect ourselves from them refusing to acknowledge that they lost. It seems inevitable.
