"Where's the evidence that working-class men feel entitled to dominance and access to sex? Are we talking about the 1950s, as if that was true then."

I already linked you a study about it. Did you somehow miss that? Also, educate yourself about abusive relationships, my friend, because 3 women are murdered every single day in the US by a current or former male domestic partner, and 41% of American women have experienced abuse. It's a complex dynamic, one where abusers make it very hard for women to leave. In fact, when they do, that's when they are most likely to be killed. Coercive control (where no physical violence is taking place) is also a huge problem - something that has finally begun to be made illegal in many jurisdictions.

You’re probably familiar with some forms of domestic violence, such as physical or verbal abuse. There’s a more subtle type of abusive behavior that’s equally harmful.

Coercive control is a strategic form of ongoing oppression and terrorism used to instill fear. The abuser will use tactics, such as limiting access to money or monitoring all communication, as a controlling effort.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
