Where’s you proof that most people shot by the police are committing crimes? About 50% of people killed by the police are those with disabilities who are not committing crimes, but who are simply not responding in the “Do as I say or else” manner that the police expect.

What you are saying also doesn’t account for the fact that unarmed Blacks are three times as likely to be shot than unarmed Whites.

“The study found that the racial disparity was even more pronounced in those cases in which the victims were unarmed and offered minimal to no threat to police.

“In those instances in which the victim appeared to pose a minimal-or-less threat to police, based on the data we had, Black people were three times as likely to be killed,” Miller says.”

A substantial academic literature has compared police searches (showing that contraband is found at higher rates in whites who are stopped), bail decisions (showing that whites with the same bail decision as blacks commit more pre-trial violations), and sentencing (showing that blacks are more harshly sentenced by juries and judges than whites when the underlying facts and circumstances of the cases are similar), providing valid causal inferences of racial discrimination.[20][21][22][23] Studies have documented patterns of racial discrimination, as well as patterns of police brutality and disregard for the constitutional rights of African-Americans, by police departments in various American cities, including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Philadelphia.[24][25][26][27][28]

You just don’t really have the most relevant facts on your side.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
