Who is asking for decreasing support for other populations? That's some zero-sum thinking right there believing that leveling the playing field would take something away from someone else!
I said that patriarchy is a zero-sum construct and since white men have always been at the top of the patriarchal dominance heirarchy in this country, and up until 50 years ago had nearly 100% of all power and authority, they are responsible for establishing and maintaining the social system.
Just about everything I write that is sociological is about dismantling this destructive social construct because it harms everyone, including men. I've written extensively about that, and I thought you had read some of it - but perhaps a ways back. I've also written about the ways that women uphold patriarchy. The point is not that white men are bad. It's that many of them can only see the "rightness" of this social system because it's what they've always known, or they benefit from it in some way, and they often don't look at all the downsides not just for the larger society, or for marginalized people but the downsides for them as well. In this OP I mentioned the economic element, but I've often described how this sort of dog-eat-dog outlook is isolating to men and leads directly to the epidemic of male suicide and health issues related to loneliness, to name just a few of the negative outcomes for men.
And, at the same time, I'm still going to call out the ways that those refusing to come to terms with how it's hurting marginalized people are in error.
