Why do so many men believe that relationships are transactional? Of course, for some women they are, but they are in the distinct minority. Most women are looking for a partner - someone to talk to and do things with and share their life. Trying to buy her interest (particularly if there is no chemistry in the first place) just looks pathetic and is a turn off.
