Why do you say these are "just so stories" when they are the prevailing beliefs of most subject matter experts? You don't know what the methodology of this research is so you can hardly speak to any potential problems. This is something that I've been studying intensely for the past 15 years or so, so when someone who has no apparent credentials calls it into question without any substance for doing so, I naturally think they have ulterior motives.

You haven't presented any substantive challenges so it's kind of lame to say you don't buy it when you can't even say why and support that with anything concrete. Honestly, don't be that guy... because he's so fucking ubiquitous and tiresome. Bring the goods or shut the hell up.
