Wife beating became illegal in 1920 but nobody enforced that at all until the 1970s, and even still, there are plenty of times today when the cops break up a domestic disturbance and tell the couple to "cool" down without ever making an arrest or there being any consequences. As a result, nearly half of all women murdered in America are killed by (male) domestic partners. Women who fight back get the book thrown at them.

Marital rape wasn't illegal in all 50 states until 1993 but even today there are loopholes in 10 states.

There are places where rapists get parental rights, where pregnant women can't get divorced, to say nothing of the shocking loss of body autonomy for women in America. In lots of Western countries, female surgeons get sexually harassed WHILE assisting in surgeries.

Absolutely NONE of that takes place because women have chosen the wrong men as partners. Mainstream masculine norms demand aggression, domination, stoicism, and control of women - something that harms men as well, and drives violence in society.

Women demanding better of men has led to the rise of the Manosphere and the popularity of Andrew Tate and Jordan Peterson. It's led to the vilification of women who are choosing no men over the ones they have available to them and the demonization of the term "feminist."

The very idea that women can somehow transform and save men from themselves is a horrendously problematic and offensive narrative. Mainstream masculine norms have created this violent rape culture in which men commit 90%+ of all violence and rapes. Don't pretend that if women had just "applied themselves" it could actually be different.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
