Catholic leaders have urged their generally liberal congregations to support Donald Trump, vote against Joe Biden, and oppose LGBTQ equality. They have not hesitated to spend Church money to amplify their voices and project conservative/regressive power. America Magazine, a Jesuit publication, even suggests Catholic bishops helped “Give Rise to Violence at the U.S. Capitol” on January 6.
