Wow! Where is the usual "I'm for self-responsibility, women should be able to take care of themselves" Nicole? And for that matter, where is your humanity?

First of all, I used that term because it's the one that Chappelle used, and this story is a commentary on why him using that term is offensive. You may notice that later in the story I use Gender Critical.

Trans people are being beaten in the streets with impugnity and killed on an alarming basis - simply for daring to exist. Around half of them try to commit suicide. These fellow human beings have a terrible time getting jobs or even a place to live, but we should be incensed and put out that they want their "all important needs" to be addressed? WTF is the matter with you? You sound like a skinhead!

One in 100 births does not conform to "standard" male or female configurations. There are all sorts of chromosomal variants other than XX and XY, to say nothing of all of the hormonal and other physiological variants that are common in human beings. Sex and gender are both continuums. Did you not read that part or did your emotions around this topic prevent you from perceiving it?

The fact that you have yet to deprogram yourself from the patriarchal norms around gender that you were raised in and you feel uncomfortable that trans people would like to be treated as people (instead of as Nazi era Jews) is not exactly their problem. Cis-women's rights are not under atttack. You sound like some old white man who thinks that someone else getting rights is taking something away from them. It's not!

Rowling does not support trans people any more than Dave Chappelle does. And bringing up an "Uncle Tom" version of a trans person who doesn't make waves and doesn't take offense when bigotry against them is being couched as a "joke" boggles my mind. Do you even hear yourself?

"Satire is meant to ridicule power. If the person you are laughing at is hurting, it's not satire, it's bullying."

Feminism is supposed to be intersectional, not just about the needs and preferences of white cis women who really just want to create a world where they have equal access to the things that cis white men have - to hell with those who are lower down the hierarchy.

Cis women aren't being hurt, and shouldn't they be able to take care of themselves anyhow, by your "grow some labia" standards?

I stand by what I said. A group who refers to trans people as parasites and is looking to "morally mandate them out of existence" is a hate group. Supporting them doesn't help cis women in any meaningful way and it's just subscribing to the patriarchal notions of hierarchy and binary. It's not a feminist stance and it's not a humanist one either. You accusing me of saying things that I haven't actually said isn't going to change that. I haven't gaslighted anyone. I've stated facts. Not all cis women menstrate. Not all cis women are capable of having babies, so that isn't exactly the definition of what a cis woman is, now is it? Stop trying to bring up things that I've never actually asserted - it's sloppy debate.

Yes, this is a complex topic, but what isn't complex is normalizing language and behavior that puts fellow human beings at risk of harm and death and that further marginalizes them in the process - for no good reason other than we don't really understand them and they seem weird. I don't support that for any reason - not your discomfort or Rowlings irrational fears or Chappelle's inability to deal with his own issues around gender non-conforming people. There's no excuse for it and I'm not going to apologize for saying so.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
