Yeah, no reason at all, except for skyrocketing levels of loneliness, depression, and substance abuse for men - largely caused by the restrictive Man Box of patriarchy.
Beyond the unbelievable hutzpah of essentially saying, "The masters up at the big house are quite comfortable drinking their beers, it's the slaves who have to change things," 40 years of research (much of it done by men) indicates that traditional norms are extremely detrimental to men. That's why the APA just recently released new guidelines to try to help mitigate them for the small percentage of men who actually seek therapeutic assistance for their depression and suicidal feelings.
"Thirteen years in the making, they (the new guidelines) draw on more than 40 years of research showing that traditional masculinity is psychologically harmful and that socializing boys to suppress their emotions causes damage that echoes both inwardly and outwardly."
