Donald Trump has been credibly accused of sexual misconduct by 26 women. We went ahead and elected him President anyhow. When #MeToo broke and the entire culture was faced with the fact that nearly all women have extensive experience with sexual violence, the overwhelming response from men was not horror at that but further attacks on women for daring to speak about the previously tacitly accepted facts of living in this culture. We live in a rape culture, and if you don't think so, you should read this:
Rape culture is determined by the number/percentage of people in the society who are raped as well as the attitudes and responses to that (which are unfavorable to the victim, and indulgent of the perpetrator — as distinctly different from any other crime).
