Yes, and I'm doing that - as are a whole lot of my white middle class female friends. Same goes for stuff related to LGBTQ issues. I'm constantly reading writers in those demographics, and learning from them, as well as writing my own stories which reflect some of the issues that they face.

And, I'm not going to delve any further into these questions because my initial reaction to them is to say that you and the Penguin can fuck right off. The insinuation that our very visceral feelings are somehow improper or haven't met your metrics for authenticity in some way is just the height of mansplaining and condescencion and although I'm pretty sure you weren't intending to come off as this offensive, it very truly is and I'm done begging men to believe that I (and other women like me) are actually hurting or have anything to complain about.
