Yes, it does - because that's a normal human way to interact with other people and men in some cultures have had that trained and policed out of them. Ergo, it's toxic. Lot's of cultures men hug and even kiss each other. In some Arab cultures men hold hands. Telling North American men they can't do that because it makes them gay is incredibly toxic.
Now, if you happened to be a man in a hugging/kissing culture who just didn't happen to prefer that, and didn't want to do it, that would be fine because it's your own preference and not because somebody shamed you and policed you away from doing it — because it’s “feminine” or “gay.” Any norms that say that the opposite of being a man is acting like a woman are inherently problematic. The way you should become a man is by no longer being a boy. That’s the way many cultures view masculinity — not by “not being a girl.”
