Yes, it's absolutely a subconscious thing that's going on, but I don't think they are "napping." I think it's due to a deeply ingrained gender binary (which again is not their fault) but although I know I shouldn't care, the fact of the matter is I do. Perhaps that's my ingrained gender binary talking...lol!

Still, I can't imagine you'd like to routinely be called ma'am, right?
