Yes to all of this! What really drives me crazy is the getting mad that I've pointed out that they disappointed me or hurt me, which then adds insult to injury. It's the way men are socialized, but it makes them fragile, not strong, as has been somehow imagined. We absolutely should be talking about this at least as much as we talk about how some women over-apologize.
