You are not a man of integrity if all you want to do is to dismiss other people's problems as not as difficult as yours so you can center yourself in the world. No-one is forcing you to live in that small town. No-one is forcing you to keep that job. I've worked with hundreds of women who are in much worse circumstances than you in that they have children to care for as well as a crappy job in a small town. They figured out how to move themselves forward.
I didn't break with conformity because I wanted to - I didn't have a choice. I did not fit in to this society, so I found ways to make that actually work for me. It took a fucking lot of hard work and grit to do so. What exactly do you think is going to happen? That pennies will fall from the sky if you bemoan your plight long enough and tell others how easy they've had it compared to you? Is that how things get better for you? What exactly is your endgame with this stuff?
You know who else is 5'7"? Tom Cruise. He has dyslexia. Came from a poor background with an abusive father. And yet, found a way to make it to something better. And don’t say it’s because of how he looks alone, because Cruise was told more than once that he didn’t have the looks to be an actor.
