You don't know shit about fuck (as Ruth Langmore used to say) if you don't understand that most men other than MGTOW are blaming women and expecting them to change in order to "fix this" for them. It's also mainstream sociology that because patriarchy demands that men are socialized to suppress all difficult emotions other than anger, they rely on women to manage that for them. It's not exactly controversial or non-mainstream that Jude spoke to this (even if it's new to you).

How on earth is it contemptuous of men to point out the facts (unless you are extremely fragile and entitled and expect to be deferred to and coddled)?

*There's a narrative that men are more lonely than women - but Jude shows that isn't true. All Americans are lonely.

*There's a historical expectation that women ought to help men process and navigate their emotions as has been typical in patriarchal history and Jude recommends that you instead do what women do - see a therapist, engage in art or journaling, or improve your sharing and communication with friends.

*Jude blows up the false martyrdom narrative that so many guys are currently clinging to and suddenly he is a problem?

*Just how weak and pathetic are you actually? Grow up and embrace reality -a world where men are not actually the primary victim. Yes, men are lonely. So is everyone else and your problems don't count more than those of other people. John Wayne is rolling over in his grave right now at the likes of you types.

The point is that male loneliness is not any worse or more important than anyone else's. The last lines of the essay are "I care about human suffering. I know we can do better for those lonely guys." Stop acting like a petty, petulant child. We'll all be better for it.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
