You make a very good point, but for me, when women have actual equality, it is good for everyone. It's not that feminism needs to focus on the things that harm men, except as they are byproducts of the things that harm women - such as patriarchy. And I've defended this before in writing when some guys gripe that feminism isn't paying attention to the needs of men. I think that it actually is, but in a more indirect way. I'm getting ready to write a story on just this pretty soon - how better gender equality does actually result in better health and happiness for men - even if that's not the main purpose of it. But you are absolutely right that it's a function of the human-giver role of women that anyone even asks the question or assumes that feminism isn't valid if it isn't focused on men as well.
