You really are from Mars apparently. Might Makes Right is the primary aspect of every single aspect of American life. Democracy is an illusion when only millionaires can afford to run for office and "money is speech." Late stage capitalism is the perfect dovetail with patriarchy. That's why social critics like bell hooks refer to it as capitalist white supremacist patriarchy. It's all the same system.
Money means you can navigate the criminal justice system differently than poor people. It means that greater privilege exists in every area of life, and if you happen to also be white, Christian, able-bodied, heterosexual and male, all the more so.
And yes, most of the people (men) who read my stories on Medium are also largely stupid and uneducated - swimming around in their Dunning-Kruger worlds where they are sure what they feel is the truth.
