You shouldn't say things you don't mean. When you do, you should take responsibility for them. Why are you continuing to make this about me and what I did wrong when you are the one who made the offensive and wholly inappropriate statement? You literally said that murdering King was the pinnacle of cancel culture.

"On the other hand, MLK's murder is a prime example - you could say the pinnacle example - of cancel culture." There is no other way to interpret what you said than the way that I took it. If you'd said, "I regret the analogy" earlier and left the last part off where you still try to pretend that it's my fault I interpreted it wrong, then I'd think I was speaking with someone who acts like an adult and doesn't blame other people for his mistakes. Since that seems unlikely to be forthcoming, I'm moving on to other things.
