You'd think, and yet there is a whole cottage industry of men obsessed with how their loneliness is unique and more important than anyone else's. They persist in going on and on about this as if they are the most important beings in the universe and the fact that women aren't meeting their every need is a crime against nature. If not for them, a story like this would not be necessary.
