Your words did not say that, but your actions did. Perhaps you should think before you act in the future. I haven’t been impolite to you — I’ve simply pointed out how you were impolite to me. There’s a difference. The fact that you still aren’t taking responsibility for yourself in this situation indicates that this was needed, in this very clear and direct way.
Everyone who uses Medium is well aware of global warming. You were not imparting vital information that couldn’t be obtained elsewhere. What you did was spam, and I think you are aware of it, but don’t want to own it. And if you weren’t previously aware, you are now. Do not do this!
What Is Blog Comment Spam?
There isn’t any strict definition of blog comment spam — it’s the kind of thing where you know when you see it. For me, it’s any comment on my blog that doesn’t ask a relevant question or contribute a relevant thought or compliment to the article.
But even that doesn’t cover it — because I also think that relevant comments left with the wrong intent can be spammy (I’m looking at you gray-hat SEO people).
But to get into the intent of comment spam — we need to understand why it happens and who is responsible.
